Where I live, it tends to rain a lot when I’m planning to go out somewhere, and even though I can manage in the rain, it’s much more enjoyable to be out in the sun. However, weather forecasts aren’t always accurate, and sometimes storms come out of nowhere on the day you were planning to go shopping. Instead of feeling miserable all day and having nothing to do, why not take inspiration from some of the following ideas of what to do when it’s raining.

1. MOVIE MARATHON

asdfghjklqwertyuiopzxcvbnm

Grab some of your favourite dvds, (maybe even some of your favourite childhood dvds?) cook some popcorn and just be lazy all day. You could even make your own toffee popcorn using Wonderland Wardrobe‘s recipe.

2. BAKING

IMG_0520

I love baking, and you rarely need any fancy ingredients either. This was my first attempt at making rainbow cupcakes, and I love the way they turned out! I might post a recipe in future, but in the mean time, if you want to make your own rainbow cupcakes, you can use this recipe. Also, if you want more inspiration, I highly recommend Rosanna Pansino and Yoyomax12.

3. LOOK THROUGH OLD PHOTOS

IMG_0225

I absolutely love looking through old photos, and laughing at how weird I was when I was a baby. I think I look really cute in this picture!

4. PLAY VIDEO GAMES

url-1

I’m obsessed with video games, especially Zelda, but I rarely get time to play them, so rainy days are a great opportunity to do that.

5. CATCH UP TV

Screen Shot 2013-02-24 at 14.55.46

I watch a lot of tv, but sometimes I miss some of my favourite shows, and catchup tv is really useful! I especially love TVCatchup.

6. TAKE PHOTOS

urlgsdsdggds

Just take pictures of your surroundings in the house, take your time to get the perfect lighting, and finish off by editing everything nicely. You could even post them on Instagram and print your favourites on Printstagram.

 7. START A WRECK THIS JOURNAL OR A SCRAPBOOK

wethujdainfjnafk

Scrap books are a great way of documenting ideas and memories, and you can go back and change them however you like.

8. DECORATE YOUR WALL

DSCF0989

You can use anything you want, posters, sweet wrappers, train tickets, photos, cinema tickets, cereal box cutouts, drawings and quotes. Be warned, you’ll be using a LOT of BlueTack during this project.

9. LEARN SOMETHING NEW

dfaaff

I love learning things, and SciShow is great because firstly, Hank Green and Michael Aranda, and secondly because they have some really interesting yet funny videos.

10. START A BLOG

I started my blog when I was bored, and 7 weeks later, I’m still here. I’m really enjoying it! Why not make your first blog post a “10 Things” list?

Last week, my school was closed for half term. Today is the last day of the half term, which is a shame, because I really enjoyed having a break and getting to spend some time with my family. I’m sorry I’ve written two update blogs in a row, but I did quite a lot in the half term that I wanted to share with you.

On Saturday, I went shopping around for a shed for my rabbit, but I didn’t find one. I went to the garden shop where I got my rabbit to look for a shed, and I saw a rabbit that looked exactly like mine! On Sunday I wrote my “January Update” blog and cooked some chinese food for Chinese new year with my dad!

IMG_0450

On Monday, I literally did nothing but watch youtube videos and be lazy all day. Tuesday was Pancake Day, and, obviously, I made pancakes. I used a Delia Smith recipe, even though I’m not a huge fan of her, I really loved the pancakes!

IMG_0456

On Wednesday, I went shopping to Chester with my dad. It was snowing really heavily all day, and I got absolutely drenched! After arriving at the train station, we went to Costa to have a coffee.

IMG_0468

I went to lots of different shops, including Primark, Superdrug, Yankee, Sweets from Heaven and WHSmiths. From Primark, I bought some more pyjamas (they’re so comfy!), a denim shirt, a jumper and some socks.

From Superdrug, I bought some Collection nail polish (Shade is 37 – Bongo Beat), a new powder brush, some “I love” raspberry and blackberry body wash and some of my favourite L’Oreal shampoo for coloured hair. I also went to this cute little shop called “Lee Louise” and got some La Riche hair dye for the easter holidays!

From the Yankee shop, I got a Mango Peach Salsa candle, and a really cute bath bomb that has pressed flowers in it! Everything came in a really cute bag, and the staff were really kind.

From Sweets from Heaven, I bought some Wonka Sweetarts and some Tootsie Pop Drops!

DSCF0981

From WHSmiths, I bought “An Abundance of Katherines” by John Green and some of my favourite Lindt Lindor chocolate.

DSCF0975

Thursday was Valentines Day, and my and my dad cooked some steak for my mum, and I baked some rainbow cupcakes! We also got this cute heart balloon from a card shop when we were out shopping for food.

kyavyugfeasg

On Friday I went shopping again and I bought tons of makeup from Boots! I got some Rimmel Face Power and concealer for my mum, Rimmel Wake Me up Foundation, Rimmel Nail Polish, Nivea Lip Balm, Boots Apple and Lime Body Spray and some of my favourite L’Oreal Elnett Hair Spray.

IMG_0571

Yesterday and today I did absolutely nothing all day apart from write this blog post, because I thought I deserved a break from the busy week I’ve had. I don’t want to go back to school, but there’s only five weeks until the easter holidays, and we have almost three weeks off! My highlight of the week was when Dodie Clark (doddleoddle on youtube) favourited two of my tweets, and liked and commented on one of my instagram pictures! I love her so much!

January is over, and we’re already into the second week of February. Even though I haven’t done anything really interesting this month, I still thought it would be a good idea to do an update for the month. One of my favourite people ever, WonderlandWardrobe, has been doing updates every month, so I got a lot of inspiration from her. So here are some questions related to the month:-

1. What was the best thing that happened to you this month?

– FINDING MY DAD’S OLD CAMERA

IMG_0568

It’s a FujiFilm Finepix S5600 Digital Camera. I really love the picture quality, and I’ll probably use this to make videos in the future.

2. What did you do this month that made you feel proud of yourself?

– FINISH MY EXAMS FOR ANOTHER YEAR

tumblr_krphfuDLQ31qa8xpko1_500_large[1]

I hate exams and revision, so much, so I was really proud of myself for not blowing up.

3. What books did you read?

– HUNGER GAMES CATCHING FIRE AND A GAME OF THRONES

PicMonkey Collage

I haven’t finished either of these books yet, but I started reading them and I’m really enjoying them!

4. What movies did you watch?

PicMonkey Collagejydsbjfkud

Unfortunately, I didn’t actually watch any films last month, but I still really want to go and see The Hobbit and Life of Pi.

5. What tv shows did you watch?

– ADVENTURE TIME

urlmknkjhn

Even though I’ve watched Adventure Time before, I became obsessed with it last month.

6. What games did you play?

– LEGO STAR WARS

urlrggUHKDNSKUFNSKDIU

I absolutely fell in love with this game last month, and I’ve been on it a lot lately.

7. What food did you try and love?

– KELLOGG’S CRUNCHY NUT HONEY AND NUT CLUSTERS

url-3

Best. Cereal. Ever.

8. What were your favourite fashion/beauty items?

– RIMMEL LONDON’S LASTING FINISH NAIL POLISH, BARRY M’S GELLY HI SHINE NAIL PAINT AND COLLECTION 2000’s COLOUR POUT LIP STAIN

PicMonkey Collageei`hfkufhf`f`fghfdzhsf

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Nail Polish in 703 Pear Drop, Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in 252 Blueberry and Collection 2000 Colour Pout Lip Stain in 3 Flirt. I absolutely love these colours and I think they’re really cute!

9. What was your favourite song?

– FLAWS BY BASTILLE

Bastille_Promo_1_resized

Literally had this on replay for the past few weeks.

10. What did you buy/What were you given?

– CRAFT SUPPLIES & WRECK THIS JOURNAL

DSCF0969

I ordered some basic craft supplies (fimo clay, crayola chalk) and a Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith from Amazon.

I hope everyone is having a great day, and I hope everyone had a Happy Chinese New Year! I’m having a late celebration tonight and I’m cooking one of my favourite dishes ever! I should also have a blog post on how to make this soon!

January is over already, and I can tell that this year is going to move really quickly. January has been really productive for me so far. I’ve started a blog, finished my exams for another year and found my dad’s old camera (I should be making a video soon). Last year wasn’t great, and there were lots of things I didn’t get to do. I have a lot of plans for this year, especially for the summer. So in this post, I’ll be sharing with you some of the things I want to do this summer.

1. TIE DYING

url-1

I absolutely love tie dying, and I didn’t do it enough last year. There are so many different techniques that I haven’t tried out yet, so I’m excited to do some tie dying!

2. DYE MY HAIR

PicMonkey Collage

I dye my hair a lot, but my school doesn’t allow people to have “unnatural” looking hair colours. Whenever I get a break off school, especially the summer holidays, I’ll dye my hair a bright colour (red, purple) on the first week that we’re away, and dye my hair brown again before school. I tend to dye my hair red a lot. This summer, I’m excited to try a different colour, or possibly a more vibrant red. {From left to right: L’Oreal Preference Wild Ombres No 1 Dip Dye Hair Kit Light Brown to Dark Brown, Garnier Olia Permanent Hair Colour 4.6 Deep Red, Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color – Fiery Red 6.60 and Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL, CYBER PURPLE 46}

3. SHOPPING

urlewqeåw

I love shopping, and I’m planning to go shopping a lot this year, especially in Manchester and Liverpool.

4. ART AND CRAFT

PicMonkey Collagebgyftfgfvftu

I adore Art and Craft, but I didn’t have much time for it last year. This year, I’m looking forward to making lots of cute polymer charms, making friendship bracelets, painting, melting crayons and just plain drawing.

5. READING

url-5

Last year, I really didn’t read enough. I have a huge list of things I want to read, so this year should be a great year for reading.
