I stumbled across this recipe a few days ago, and I just had to try it out! There are very few ingredients, and the method is very simple!

YOU WILL NEED:

– 1 cup of baking soda

– 1/4 cup of salt (preferably epsom salt)

– 1/4 cup of water

– 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

1. WEAR GLOVES

/

Make sure you wear gloves when doing this recipe, as the ingredients can dry your hands!

2. MIX THE DRY INGREDIENTS

/

Mix the baking soda and the salt together with your hands until they’re well combined.

3. MIX THE WET INGREDIENTS

/

Mix the lemon juice and the water until they’re well combined, and then transfer them into a spray bottle.

4. START SPRAYING

/

Carefully spray the wet ingredients into the bowl, making sure to mix it every now and then.

5. ADD THE ESSENTIAL OIL

/

At this stage, feel free to add a few drops of your favourite essential oil to add a scent to your bath bombs.

6. CHECK THE CONSISTENCY

/

Once you’ve finished spraying on the wet ingredients and made sure everything has been mixed well, press the mixture into your hand – if the mixture forms a shape that doesn’t crumble, you are ready to start putting your ingredients into the moulds.

7. PLACE INTO MOULDS

/

Place an even amount of mixture into each moulds and press down firmly with your fingers to make sure everything is compact.

8. WAIT

/

Leave the bath bombs to dry overnight in a cool, dry place.

9. REMOVE FROM MOULDS

/

Carefully remove the bath bombs from their moulds, trying not to break them.

10. ENJOY

/

Feel free to experiment with the essential oils you use, or even with different colours!

Please let me know if you enjoyed this post, and I’ll continue to make similar ones in the future!

february update collage

The second month of the year has flown by again and I’ve been very busy this month!

1. What was the best thing that happened to you this month?

– HALF TERM HOLIDAY

Screen-Shot-2013-09-01-at-9.46.23-PM

Even though I was ill at the beginning of the holiday, it was really nice to get a break from school to relax.

2. What did you do this month that made you feel proud of yourself?

– FINISHED FIRST ROUND OF MOCK EXAMS

tumblr_myrh1z2ueB1snbbl3o1_500

I had four full days of exams this month, and it really drained my energy, but I’m glad that I managed to get through them.

3. What books did you read?

– WINNIE THE POOH FAVOURITE STORIES BY A.A. MILNE

favourite-winnie-the-pooh-stories

Winnie the Pooh was one of my favourite franchises as a child and I’ve had this book on my shelf as a keepsake for a long time, but I’ve never had the chance to read much of it. I read a couple of the stories in it this month and it felt so nostalgic to read stories from my childhood along side some beautiful little illustrations by Ernest H. Shepard.

4. What movies did you watch?

I didn’t have the chance to watch any new movies this month because of my exams, but I did buy The Hangover 3 a couple of weeks ago so I’ll be watching that soon!

5. What tv shows did you watch?

– SUMMER HEIGHTS HIGH

640x360-SummerHeightsHigh-640x360-1

I’ve wanted to watch this series for a while, and I’m so glad I did.

6. What games did you play?

– FALL OUT BIRD

Fall_Out_Bird

Fall Out Boy came out with an homage to Flappy Bird this month, and I’ve been playing it religiously ever since.

7. What food did you try and love?

– PIZZA HUT GLUTEN FREE PIZZA

16021_Pizza-Hut-gluten-free-base

I found out that I’m gluten sensitive this month (especially to bread and pizza) so I’ve decided to abstain from eating gluten rich foods for a while. Therefore, I wanted to try Pizza Hut’s gluten free option and I was skeptical that it wasn’t going to taste as nice as their regular pizza, but I was not disappointed. I could barely tell any difference in taste between their gluten free and regular pizza!

8. What were your favourite fashion/beauty items?

– URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 PALETTE, L’ORÉAL BUTTERFLY MASCARA AND MARTY MAGIC BRONZE EAR CUFF

february favourites

I finally bought the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette this month and I am completely in love! The eyeshadows are highly pigmented and blend beautifully! I’ve been trying to find a mascara that doesn’t clump up my incredibly thick lashes for the past few years, and I think I’ve finally found it. The L’Oréal Butterfly Mascara separates my lashes perfectly without applying too much product. I’ve wanted a Marty Magic Ear Cuff for the past year or so and I’ve finally bought one! I bought the Bronze Rose Ear Cuff which fits my ear nicely and doesn’t cause too much discomfort after wearing it for a long time.

9. What was your favourite song?

– DEATH VALLEY BY FALL OUT BOY

459113214_640

Fall Out Boy have well and truly mastered the art of making a song stick in your head for a very long time.

10. What did you buy/What were you given?

– LIZ LISA FLEECE

Screen Shot 2014-03-02 at 22.30.04

I’ve wanted to buy something from Japanese clothing brand Liz Lisa for at least six months now, and I’ve finally had enough spare money to do so! I’m absolutely in love with this fleece and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be wearing it for the rest of my life! (Thank you to RobotKitty for the wonderful service!)
